Soga brings boxing into Web3

Mayweather x Deji became the first pro-boxing event to be shown in the metaverse

We teamed up with Global Titans, Metaversebooks and Fight Tyme to stream the world’s first boxing fight in their metaverse. We are proud to have brokered this deal to push combat sports in to the world of Web3. One of the most notorious and talented fighters the boxing world has entered the Metaverse. The legenadary Floyd Mayweather fought and defeated UK Youtuber / gamer Deji to retain his undefeated title.

Other fights on the card included Tommy Fury x Rolly Lambert and Jack Fincham x Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor.

The importance of this event showing in the Metaverse at this scale is hugely significant for fans, fighters, the boxing community and sports brands globally. This is the beginning of the future and how humans will soon interact regularly with sports stars, brands and events. A fan driven, immersive experience.

MEET & GREET NFT TICKETING PACKAGES

A ticketing platform for meet and greet experiences for Ne-Yo

We teamed up with Ne-Yo, Compound Mgt and Get Protocol to create Ne-Yo’s own NFT ticketing platform: AuthenTix. We are proud to have brokered this deal and continue to advise technically and strategically on. Our first case study was providing NFT tickets to his sold out Wembley Arena show. NFT holders came to an empty 15,000 capacity venue, had seats in the front row, were able to watch and request songs in Ne-Yo’s soundcheck, then meet him, have their photos taken with him, and receive a signed set list via airdrop.

Ne-Yo is now able to collaborate with other brands and artists offering this tech for their shows.

Tickets have exactly the same interface as normal ticket vendors, however all transactions are on the blockchain. The ticket QR code changes every 5 seconds, preventing fraud and scalping. Each ticket holder has the ability to be airdropped gifts such as another NFT or playlist of the set.

CHART COMPLIANT NFT

Our partnership with Limewire to launch AITCH’S debut NFT collection

We are proud to announce our partnership with NFT marketplace and nostalgic music powerhouse; Limewire to launch AITCH’S debut NFT collection.

Soga World collaborated with UK artist FunnyTummyArt to create a series of digital art pieces that represent each track from Aitch’s debut album “Close to Home”.

Only available on Limewire, a limited-edition album artwork was also re-created. Along with the unique album artwork NFT, fans will receive a signed poster and have the choice of a limited-edition album CD or Vinyl. This bundle will also count towards the chart position and help Aitch rise to #1 in the UK charts, a first for the music industry.

Additional utilities for fans purchasing this collection include raffles for unlimited VIP access to Aitch’s show, Facetimes with Aitch, signed physical copies of the art, a shopping trip with Aitch and more personal experiences.

Sports Partnerships

WORLD’S FIRST FOOTBALL DAO

Soga World’s Head of Sports Partnerships, Ryan Badu, brokered the world’s first DAO to buy into a Football Club. The DAO, known as “The Fans Together (TFT)”, agreed an exclusivity period with Greece Super League 2 F.C. Episkopi to conclude a deal to buy shares in the club. This DAO brings ownership and management of professional sports teams to fans. The deal will see sponsorship of the team by the fan organisation TFT and an immediate period of exclusivity to conclude a deal for an equity stake in the club – the first of its kind in the world.

This is a ground-breaking moment that sees people from across the world come together using the fee free and environmentally friendly Iota blockchain and Web3 technology to organise and bring fans closer to pro sports teams.

NFT TICKETING

MAJOR LEAGUE DJZ FIRST UK NFT TICKETED MUSIC EVENT

Soga World collaborated with South African Giants, Major League DJz, to use NFT tickets for their first headline London show. The sold-out event partnered GET protocol (GUTS) for the NFT ticketing, removing the need for traditional ticketing web2 platforms.

Concert goers used a seamless interface similar to normal ticket vendors, however all transactions were on the blockchain. Other features included the ticket QR code changing every 5 seconds to prevent fraud and scalping. Also ticket holders were also airdropped gifts such as another NFT or playlist of the set.

Soga also collaborated with @Sneakerheadsoff designer Ali Dawood on the creative for Major League Djz NFT collection, granting NFT holders access to their world renowned balcony mixes. The creative took inspiration from a postal stamp, where 13 different editions were created to celebrate all of the countries Major League Djz have travelled for their iconic balcony mix. This was the world’s first Amapiano NFT collection which saw Major League Djz also take to the (URNOWHERE) for a launch party preview of the collection.

NFT EXPERIENCES

STRAWBERRIES & CREEM: FIRST UK FESTIVAL TO USE NFTS TO SELL EXPERIENCES TO FESTIVAL GOERS

We teamed up with Strawberries and Creem festival 2021 to release a collection of collectable NFTs that give owners of the NFTs VIP perks and special privileges at the festival.

This is the first festival in the world to launch NFT’s with access to previously unpurchasable areas.

The NFTs were sold on Serenade, the eco-friendly platform supplying music related NFT’s for music fans to buy, sell, collect and showcase.

Fan experiences included:

  • Best seat in the house for you and a friend
  • Access to backstage to mix with the artists
  • Golden ticket – 10 years of free tickets
  • Special NFT made by art designer HAM the Illustrator

NFT Events

2X EXHIBITIONS AT SLS MIAMI & HYDRAEX YACHT MIAMI

Soga World curated two NFT art exhibitions at Miami Art Basel at SLS Miami and The Hydraex Yacht Miami.

Exhibiting artists included blue-chip NFT artist David Bianchi, Viral NFT, Jason Ebeyer, Bloowoods, Render Fruit, Brellias, Adam Spizak, Vatash, Steven Gibb, Ne-Yo plus many more.

The exhibition included Web3 panel with some special guests. Bob Moses on the DJ decks and a special visit from Beeple and Opensea early stage investors.

In collaboration with Music Venue Trust, Mick Jagger & Dave Grohl wanted to raise money for people and venues in the live space that had struggled due to Covid lockdowns.

We consulted for Universal Music on their NFT strategy for this drop.

The NFT was a loop of ‘Easy Sleazy’ using a custom designed Oliver Latta piece as the artwork.
